Welcome to 12th Street Kids- where we believe that worship can be fun, everybody matters, and God has a special plan for each of us! We teach kids weekly that God’s Word is true and helpful, and it points us to Jesus.
We have Preschool Worship (ages 2-4) & Kid’s Worship (Kgr-5th grade) at 8:30 am & 11:00 am on Sundays, which involves singing and dancing, creative teaching of the Bible, as well as purposeful games and activities. Nursery care for little ones (birth-24 mo) is available, as well as a nursing room for mothers, just off of the sanctuary.
Also, be sure to check out our Kid’s Small Group Classes (2 year olds-5th grade) from 9:45-10:45 am each Sunday. Our teachers work hard to help kids relate the Bible to their daily lives, while also building deep friendships with their peers.
KidzCreative is offered during the fall on Sunday nights from 5-6:30 pm. Our preschoolers have songs, dancing, and craft activities, while our Kindergarten-5th graders have KidzCreative- a program which encourages children to utilize their unique and God-given gifts through a Christmas musical production. Children have the option of choosing to be a part of various creative groups including art & set design, vocals, acting, and percussion. Nursery (birth-24 mo) is also offered during this time.
Mission Friends (pre-K and K) and Children in Action (1st gr-5th gr) meet each Wednesday from 6-7 pm. Each month we alternate between North American or International Mission Studies which focus on the following important lessons:
(Week One) THE HEART OF MISSIONS is spent applying truth from God’s Word and focusing on a monthly Bible passage for the kids to memorize by the end of the month through fun and creative games each week.
(Week Two) PEOPLE GOD USES is our study about a missionary who is serving in North America or around the world, and the kids learn the power of talking to God through prayer.
(Week Three) PLACES GOD WORKS is a cross-cultural study with hands on experiences, food tastings or games, as kids think outside of themselves and their “comfort zones!”
(Week Four) LIVING ON MISSION, is when we provide an organized opportunity for our kids to do a hands-on mission project- at church or in our community.
